Approach
Narrative, Solution-Focused, Collaborative
Ruth works in a way that values your perspective, recognises the effects of the problem, and helps you reconnect with hope, strengths, and direction.
Narrative Therapy
Ruth uses narrative therapy to help people look at the issue, its effects, and the stories surrounding it. The work is respectful and non-blaming, with attention to the skills, values, commitments, and abilities already present in a person’s life.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Solution-focused therapy complements narrative work by keeping the desired outcome visible. Together, you can clarify what change would look like and identify steps that are realistic and aligned with what matters to you and your family.
Collaborative Therapy
Collaborative therapy means the counselling conversation is shaped with you, not done to you. Ruth listens carefully, values your own knowledge, and works alongside you to notice new possibilities.
